New supporting member: FWF
We are delighted to announce that the Austrian Science Fund (FWF) has joined Open Knowledge Maps as a supporting member. They are the first funding agency worldwide to join Open Knowledge Maps.
The Austrian Science Fund (FWF) is Austria’s central funding organisation for basic research. Applying international quality benchmarks, the FWF provides funding for outstanding research projects and excellent researchers who work to generate, broaden and deepen scientific knowledge.
Falk Reckling, Head of the FWF Department Strategy, outlines the reasons for becoming a member:
"By supporting Open Knowledge Maps, the FWF is expanding its involvement in strengthening publication and research information systems. In the spirit of Open Science, the FWF is committed to supporting open infrastructures as well as a broad range of open systems. OKMaps offers the scientific community an ample amount of openly accessible services. This illustrates how the organization’s values fall in line with our own." Falk Reckling, Head of the FWF Department Strategy – Policy, Evaluation, Analysis
We warmly welcome the FWF and kindly invite further organisations to join and shape the future of discovery together with us. Find out more about the supporting membership program.
