We welcome our 20th supporting member: KU Leuven
We are delighted to announce that KU Leuven has joined Open Knowledge Maps as a supporting member. With this addition, our supporting membership program has now grown to twenty members.
Why KU Leuven joined us
KU Leuven Libraries are devoted to stimulating the development of non-profit and community-led open science initiatives. The libraries preserve top collections, manage inspiring learning centers, and offer an extensive list of services to researchers, teachers, students, and external visitors. KU Leuven is the first Belgian institution to join Open Knowledge Maps.
Laura Mesotten from KU Leuven, outlines the reasons for becoming a member:

About the membership program
The supporting membership program is a key pillar to sustain Open Knowledge Maps, the world’s largest visual search engine for research. Current members include research institutions, libraries, publishers, and library networks. Our supporting members provide a yearly contribution and in return, they are invited to co-create the open infrastructure with us. They are directly involved in the decision-making process as to which features are implemented on Open Knowledge Maps and in our institutional services.
